Description
A shoe for every occasion. Whether as a daily companion in the city with wind and weather or paired with a suit for special occasions.
This 6-inch boot is a tribute to the Red Wing company founder, Charles Beckman, who founded the Red Wing Shoe Company back in 1905. The Beckman unites two worlds, where on the one hand this boot stands for the robustness and durability that have always been a clear attribute of our footwear, and on the other hand the Beckman collection reflects a clear elegance and a stylish look.
Updates from the previous Beckman model: Firstly, the last has been slightly adapted and is now a little less chunky and tends to be a bit narrower towards the tip of the shoe. As with the "old" Beckman, the 9423 once again uses a leather-based sole, but it's switched from a Roccia tread to the traditional Gro-Cord rubber outsole. This has similar performance characteristics and is a reinterpretation of the fittings used by Red Wing in the 1930s. The used Black Excalibur leather comes in simple black and has a smooth and high-quality feel. The Beckman also comes with two different pairs of laces. You have the choice between our classic Black/Brown-Taslan or an elegant, flat lace made of waxed cotton. Last but not least, unlike the previous Beckman model, the 9423 has 3 rows of Speedhooks at the end of the shaft, making it much easier to put on and take off.
Size guide
Red Wing shoes run a bit big, so we recommend sizing down a half to a whole number from your usual footwear. So if you use a 44, we suggest you try a 43.5 or a 43. Adding a thin insole can also be used to get the perfect fit.
